March 20, 2007 - Rochester City Council or "City Council" establishes Midtown Urban Renewal District
October 16, 2007 - New York State (NYS)/Empire State Development (ESD), City of Rochester and PAETEC signed historic agreement to redevelop Midtown.
November 15, 2007 - ESD Directors authorized $750,000 Urban and Community Development Program (UCDP) grant to the City to undertake urban and real estate planning, garage analysis, and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
December 7, 2007 - Rochester Economic Development Corporation (REDCO) approves $500,000 for relocation expenses for Midtown Plaza tenants
December 18, 2007 - City Council authorizes acquisition by negotiation or condemnation of the Midtown Plaza parcels and approves an agreement ($255,100) with a consultant to assist with relocation the Midtown Plaza tenants
January 14, 2008 - ESD hired an Upstate Director of Construction to oversee the entire project abatement and demolition.
January 15, 2008 - City Council authorizes agreement with LaBella Associates for master planning of the Midtown site
February 12, 2008 - City Council approves $340,000 from the sales proceeds of Urban Renewal property to be used for midtown tenant relocation expenses. City Council establishes $5.9 million as the maximum price to be paid for the acquisition of Midtown, and approves $4.2 million in bond funding for the acquisition.
March 20 2008 - ESD Directors increased the UDCP grant by an additional $100,000 (totaling $850,000) for engineering and demolition impact analyses on the site's 1820-space underground garage.
March 20, 2008 - ESD Directors awarded $350,000 contract to LiRo Engineers. Inc. to perform Phase II environmental studies.
April 9, 2008 - NYS Enacted Budget included $55 million Upstate City-by-City funds for the Midtown Redevelopment Project.
April 15, 2008 - Rochester City Council authorizes approximately $7.3 million for the purchase of the properties, tenant relocations, and property management/operating costs.
April 17, 2008 - ESD Directors awarded $100,000 legal services contract to Phillips Lytle to perform all services related to the site development agreement(s).
May 28, 2008 - City acquired title to Midtown properties.
June 5, 2008 - Community press briefing and roll out of new project website. Midtown Advisory and Stakeholder Committees form to consult with City and State on key planning, environmental impact and redevelopment issues.
June 30, 2008 - Chase and Xerox skyway bridges close.
July 8, 2008 - In accordance with the State Environmental Quality Review Act ("SEQR"), the City of Rochester released "Draft Scope Document," defining the content and issues to be evaluated in the Generic Environmental Impact Statement ("GEIS"). The document appears the project website. A 14-day public period for comments on Draft Scope commenced.
July 25, 2008 - Midtown Plaza and all buildings closed to the public at 6:00 p.m. All tenants, except Clear Channel, Trailways and Minuteman Press, have relocated or closed. Only the Euclid Building accessible. The garage available from the Euclid Building and the Broad Street Gateway Atrium.
July 29, 2008 - The City of Rochester conducted "scoping" meeting to identify and narrow the project's potential impacts.
August 1, 2008 - Final comments were due for draft scoping document.
September 15, 2008 - ESD awards contracts to structural engineer (LaBella Associates) and construction manager (LiRo Engineers Inc.).
September 30, 2008 - Midtown Parking Garage closes.
October 3, 2008 - PAETEC announced the team of architects that will design their new 350,000 square foot, 9-10 story building at the corner of East Main Street and Clinton Avenue: DCS Design-Davis Carter Scott Ltd. (McLean, VA) and Bergmann Associates Inc. LLC (Rochester, NY).
November 10, 2008 - In accordance with SEQR, the City of Rochester releases a Draft GEIS describing and analyzing redevelopment alternatives and impacts. This document will appear on the City's website. The 40-day period for public review and comment commences.
December 2, 2008 - DGEIS public hearing
December 4, 2008 - City issues a request for proposals for the purchase and adaptive reuse of the Midtown Tower. The submission deadline for proposals is March 2, 2009.
December 19, 2008 - Deadline for public comments on SEQR Draft GEIS. Final GEIS includes responses to all substantive written and verbal comments.
December 27, 2008 - Minuteman Press relocated.
February 20, 2009 - In accordance with SEQR, the City of Rochester publishes Final GEIS. 10-day waiting period for all agencies to make decisions.
March 3, 2009 - City executes Findings Statement.
March 9, 2009 - Rochester Environmental Commission meets to make final recommendations.
March 16, 2009 - The City of Rochester Planning Commission holds public hearing to consider the Midtown Site Plan as an amendment to the previously adopted Urban Renewal Plan and makes a recommendation to the Rochester City Council.
March 18, 2009 - City Council adopts a Findings Statement.
March 23, 2009 - ESD commenced bid solicitation for asbestos abatement contract
April 1, 2009 - Clear Channel relocated to the HSBC Building.
May 21, 2009 - ESD awards abatement contract to Cambria Contracting, Inc. and Paradigm Environmental
July 1, 2009 - Notice to proceed issued for abatement contract. Environmental remediation and abatement commences, with approximately 14 months for completion.
July 2009 - Midtown Rising establishes Facebook and Twitter pages.
July 2, 2009 - Tower development proposals due.
August, 2009 - Construction Manager (LiRo Engineers) takes over day-to-day management and operation of the Midtown site.
August, 2009 - Cambria on site and begins abatement planning and pre-abatement activities.
September, 2009 - Cambria finalizes agreement with Local Laborers 435, and selects subcontractors Marcor and Bristol.
September 18, 2009 - Community briefing regarding the asbestos and hazardous substance removal.
October, 2009 - City of Rochester commences preliminary site infrastructure and subdivision design.
October, 2009 - City selects Morgan Management/Christa Development Partnership as preferred developer for the Midtown Tower. The plan includes 24 condominium units, 186 rental apartments and commercial space.
November 4, 2009 - Trailways relocated to 186 Cumberland Street.
November 9, 2009 - Rochester City Council approves legislation
amending the City of Rochester Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map by adopting the Amended Midtown Urban Renewal Plan.

2010
2nd quarter - Building demolition design, submittal and shoring installations commence.
2nd quarter - Demolition removals commence and continue for approximately 18 months.
June, 2010 - Environmental remediation and abatement substantially complete.
3rd quarter - Site infrastructure and subdivision design completed.
4th quarter - Demolition removals of buildings on “PAETEC Parcel” complete. Shovel ready site delivered to PAETEC for headquarter building.
4th quarter - PAETEC headquarters construction begins.
2011
2nd quarter - Demolition of all Midtown buildings complete.
2nd quarter - Infrastructure construction begins.
Midtown Garage repairs commence and continue for approximately 6 months and then Garage reopens.
PAETEC headquarters and Phase II development continue.
Portions of Phase II development begins.
2012
PAETEC opens new downtown headquarters.
4th quarter - Infrastructure construction substantially complete.
